Shipping & Packaging

How are my cookies packaged?

Normal Orders are individually heat sealed unless otherwise requested.

Shipped orders are individually packaged, bubble wrapped, and double boxed to ensure safe delivery. While accidents do happen, I do take great care in wrapping all cookies.

When will I receive my cookies?

Normal Orders are delivered on Thursday - Sunday unless otherwise arranged by the customer

Shipped orders: We will do our best in getting your cookies to you by or before your due date. Because we are based and shipping out of Colorado, shipping is typically 1-2 business days however it can take up to 5 business days for your order to come in.

Who are my cookies shipped through and how are shipping charges calculated?

At Love & Baking we use USPS to ship our cookies. We will do our best to ensure you receive your cookies by your requested due date. Please take into consideration inclement weather and other shipping delays. Shipping rates that are posted also cover the cost of materials used to ensure safe delivery (packing bubbles, shipping boxes, tape etc.)

Packages left at the door – sometimes a shipper will leave the package at the door if they determine it is safe. Apartments, Condos, Dormitories, Hotels, Hospitals – shipments are usually directed to a complex office or receiving department which may result in delays. We recommend letting the recipient know they will be receiving a package so they can be on the look-out for it. No refunds are given due to lost or mail-caused delays. Deliveries to extended delivery areas are not guaranteed. No refunds are given for incomplete or wrong addresses.

I received my cookies but they are in crumbles do I get a refund?

If the product is damaged in shipping, we will process a damage claim with UPS or USPS. Claims must be made within 5 days of receipt. The shipping company may require that the damaged product, box & all items included in package be picked up for inspection; so please do not discard the box, product or any of its contents. Damage & unsuccessful deliveries are not common. Please take pictures of all damages and send them to loveandbaking2018@gmail.com

We are unable to complete a refund for broken cookies

What is the difference between ribbon tied, and non ribbon tied?

Ribbon Tied refers to the way the cookies are packaged. Each cookie is packaged in a cellophane bag to ensure freshness. For regular cookies, the bag is heat sealed. On ribbon or twined tied bags, they are individually wrapped with a ribbon. Ribbons are matched with the cookie theme or can be a specifically requested colour.

Do you deliver?

More About Ashley

When do you start baking?
I have baked since I was young but really got into it while in college. I would try new recipes for cookies, cake, cupcakes, and cake pops and take them to classes for others to try.

Do you bake full time?
Nope. I have a full time job at a tech company as a Project Manager. I’m also a full time student pursuing a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity. While I absolutely love my job, I have a passion for baking so I decided it’s time to turn my passion into a business and voila! I arrived here.

What inspires you?
I draw inspiration from all kinds of things. Like many women, I am a multi-tasker. I can be in a meeting and draw a cookie design in the corner of my planner. Or on a nice walk and see something that sparks imagination. This is why I love creating new designs it allows my creativity to run rampant in a fun and delicious way

Where do you work?
I currently alternate between home and a commercial kitchen depending on the size of the order.

How often do you bake?
I bake Mondays - Wednesdays and Deliver Thursdays - Sunday I’m a very big planner so I make sure to manage my time wisely so baking, work, and school don’t impact each other.

Are you professionally trained?

No, I am self taught by a lot of Youtube videos, books, and baker blogs. I AM food safety certified so rest assured your cookies are being made in safe hands. For a list of places I've found recipes, and learned the tricks of the trade, please see the Resources Section of the FAQs.
